Welcome to La Luna del Amazonas

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re searching for something.

Perhaps you’re looking for healing, clarity, a new direction, or simply a place where you can step away from the noise of everyday life. Whatever brought you here, I want to thank you for taking the time to learn about us.

My name is Enrique, and more than ten years ago I left my life in Sweden and moved to the Peruvian Amazon. I didn’t come here to start a retreat center. I came because I was searching for something myself.

What I found changed my life. It also gave me a new understanding of healing, community, and what it means to truly care for another person.

Over the years I had the privilege of living and working alongside traditional Amazonian healers who welcomed me not as a visitor, but as family. They shared their knowledge, their traditions, and their way of understanding healing with a generosity that forever changed the course of my life.

Together we created La Luna del Amazonas, not as a business built around ayahuasca, but as a place where people could experience this tradition with authenticity, safety, and respect.

Today, guests from all over the world come here for different reasons. Some arrive carrying grief or trauma. Others seek personal growth, emotional healing, or a deeper understanding of themselves. Whatever your reason, our goal is never to promise miracles. Our responsibility is simply to provide a safe, supportive, and authentic environment where this ancient tradition can be experienced as it has been practiced for generations.

Why Guests Trust La Luna

👥 Small Groups, Individual Care

We intentionally keep our retreats small so every guest receives the time, attention, and support they deserve. Whether you need guidance during a ceremony or simply someone to talk to, we’re here for you every step of the way.

🛖 Traditional Amazonian Healing

Our ceremonies are led by experienced Amazonian shamans who have dedicated their lives to preserving the healing traditions passed down through generations. Every ceremony is conducted with authenticity, humility, and deep respect for this sacred practice.

❤️ Safety Comes First

Your wellbeing is our highest priority. Every guest completes a comprehensive medical screening before arrival, and our facilitators remain fully present throughout each ceremony. We believe that authentic healing begins with responsible care.

🌎 Welcoming Guests from Around the World

For more than a decade, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming guests from all walks of life and many different countries. While every journey is unique, they all share one thing in common, a desire for genuine healing in a safe and supportive environment.

⭐ Over a Decade of Experience

For over a decade, we’ve worked side by side with the same family of Amazonian healers, guiding hundreds of guests through their retreat experience. That experience has shaped every aspect of La Luna, from our ceremonies to our safety protocols and the personal care we provide each guest.

Meet the Family Behind La Luna

A retreat is shaped not only by the ceremonies, but by the people who welcome you, care for you, and walk beside you throughout your stay.

At La Luna, we’re more than a team, we’re a family. Some of us were born and raised in the Amazon, while others, like me, found our way here from different parts of the world. What unites us is a shared commitment to preserving the traditions of Amazonian healing and creating a place where every guest feels safe, supported, and genuinely cared for.

During your time with us, you’ll come to know the shamans who guide the ceremonies, the facilitators who support you throughout your journey, the cooks who prepare every meal with care, and the many people working behind the scenes to make your stay comfortable and meaningful.

By the end of the week, we hope you’ll feel that you’ve experienced more than a retreat, you’ve become part of our family.

Your Time at La Luna

Every retreat is unique because every person arrives with their own story, intentions, and life experiences. While no two journeys are the same, the rhythm of life at La Luna is intentionally simple, allowing you the time and space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

Your days are spent surrounded by the Amazon rainforest, sharing nourishing meals, resting in your private room, meeting with the shamans, and preparing for the evening ceremonies. Between ceremonies, you’ll have opportunities for integration, traditional plant baths, nature walks, and quiet moments by the river.

As night falls, we gather in our traditional maloka, where the shamans lead each ceremony with respect, compassion, and generations of Amazonian knowledge. Throughout the night, our facilitators remain present to provide support whenever it is needed.

For many guests, healing is found not only during the ceremonies, but also in the peaceful moments between them, in conversations, in the sounds of the jungle, and in simply allowing themselves to be fully present.

What Our Guests Say

What allowed me to feel safe immediately was witnessing the diversity in the participants at our first ceremony. From the first moment of arrival, I have felt held by the talented healers.

— Kira

It had to be authentic Peruvian shamans, and a good setting in the Amazon jungle. You definitely get both in abundance at La Luna del Amazonas.
