At La Luna del Amazonas, healing does not end at the walls of the maloka. Our work is woven into the fabric of the community around us, because true medicine must flow like a river — nourishing not only the individual, but the whole.
The Children: Seeds of the Future
We believe the children of the village are like young trees sprouting in fertile soil. To help them grow strong, we have offered free English classes, giving them tools that may one day open paths far beyond the forest. In every child’s eyes shines the light of possibility, and it is our honor to support that light.
Walking Together Through Trials
During the long shadow of Covid-19, when uncertainty spread through the jungle and cities alike, we stood shoulder to shoulder with the families of our village. We distributed food, medicine, and masks — small offerings of care, yet carried with great love. In times of hardship, the spirit teaches us that unity is the truest protection.
Breath of Life for the City
Our support also reached beyond the village. In Iquitos, we contributed to the creation of a new oxygen generator during Covid 19. In this way, we honor the invisible thread that connects all life, remembering that healing belongs not to one person, but to the many.
The Circle of the Village
Each month, beneath the open sky, the people of the village gather in council. We are present in these meetings, not as outsiders, but as fellow travelers. Here, voices are heard, needs are shared, and visions for the future are born. It is in these circles that we learn what it truly means to live in reciprocity with the community.
Guests Who Carry Gifts of the Heart
Many of our guests also feel called to give. Over the years, they have brought clothing, school supplies, and other offerings to share with the people here. These gifts are more than material — they are bridges between worlds, gestures of gratitude that honor the medicine received in ceremony.
